Overview

Terre Haute/Vigo County, Indiana works to develop, retain and attract a high portion of educated and creative people, people who are productively engaged in the community. This effort brings with it strong and dynamic neighborhoods where individuals and families connect with the community and each other.  We embrace a level of ethnic and cultural diversity and provide opportunity for full participation in the life of the community.

We’re family friendly! Terre Haute/Vigo County ranks high on the livability scale. Area residents find plenty to do year-around. There’s the symphony, the accredited Swope Art Museum, college sports teams, big-name entertainment at the Hulman Center, community theater, the Blues Festival, the Children’s Science and Technology Museum, the Clabber Girl Museum and General Store to name just a few choices.

The Terre Haute area is a shopper’s delight. Vigo County is home to the largest shopping district within 15-counties. Dining options include everything from fine local restaurants to franchise favorites, to artsy hangouts and Blues lounges.
